We are La Piadina


La piadina opened it’s trucks windows to the public started in July 2013 and it’s doors at The Exchange in the Summer of 2019.
Menyhert (“Menyus”) Borocz,a native of Budapest Hungary, by growing up in Italy during his teenage years he had also grown a huge appetite for the Italian cuisine which started in Naples at age 10, after his mother has married an exquisite Neapolitan man who has made Menyus fell so in love with pizza and who thought him many different tricks of the Italian traditional cooking throughout the next 11 years.
After his brother was born his family relocated to Arezzo, a Fort Collins sized major city just 40 miles south of Florence where Menyus had continued his studies in classical Music and his  passion and craving for the Tuscan Kitchen’s delights.
At age 16 he started play in Rock bands and he also had his first kitchen jobs in Budapest and his first pizza job in Arezzo.

A year later the first Piadina shop opened up in Arezzo, originally from the Romagna region 70 miles north from the Tuscan city.
It was a love at the first bite when Menyus first got to try the most basic and popular one with prosciutto, stracchino and arugula (“l’Originale”).

Then in 2013, after 10 years Menyus has moved to Fort Collins, and after completing a BA in Contrabass Performance at UNC and a Masters in Business Management at CSU, his craving for Piadinas has grown so much in him that he decided to open up his little-red-box food truck in the then just flourished food truck scene. Menyus was convinced that with an older looking truck and with some crafty friends he could give a somewhat Italian and artisan look to his 1978 Chevy p20  truck with its proud “Piadina” ‘Italian American’ Colorado license plate.( He has been joking around since on how his food is Italian, his truck is American but he was actually born to Hungarian parents).
The truck has been in operation feeding the crowds at CSU campus, breweries, major summer events, private events, local businesses and at food truck rallies on the regular basis since then and Menyus is planning to open his first brick and mortar location at the Exchange on 234 North College Avenue in the Summer of 2019.


Outstanding! I am still savoring the special, prosciutto, arugula, truffle, artichoke mushroom bechamel sauce fantasy treat. Seriously good eats. Honestly one of the best casual dining treats we've had since we moved here in June 2015 from Houston.- Lisa

Had the ham and mushroom and the pepperoni flatbreads - absolutely delicious! Came back later for the dessert (Nutella, walnuts, raspberry jam, powdered sugar) which was just as good!- Amelia
